The sheet details the manufacturing operations and the technology to be used within SmartCAM. The geometry data can be supplied via CAD or created directly within SmartCAM or a combination of the two. When AutoTurn is run on the data manufacturing cutter path will be automatically generated, in most cases the user will be asked for machining depths only. Company machining standards will be used to control the cutter path process without any further input from the user. Technologies include: Rough & Finish Turning Hole Cycles Rough & Finish Boring Internal & External Threading Grooving Cycles Toolpath Optimisation . . . . and much more AutoTurn will highlight each of the manufacturing technologies in turn and if required prompt the user for additional information such as depth of feature.
